Laurie was born in Southern California, raised in Iowa, and lured back to California for college and law school. She is licensed to practice law in both states. While she enjoys the four seasons of the Midwest, she loves walking barefoot in January more.
Since 2003, Laurie has practiced law in the area of civil litigation, including insurance defense, and revels in the intellectual challenge of law and motion work. She has extensive experience with Alternative Dispute Resolution, helping parties resolve their issues outside of court.
Laurie enjoys life outside of work with her husband and three grown daughters, and all their dogs. She appreciates good Mexican food and traveling with her husband, laughing with family and friends, and spending time thinking about the deep questions in life. Laurie is also an Adjunct Professor at Trinity Law School in Santa Ana, California.
