Daniel T. Balmat
Associate
Dan began his legal career in the trenches, as a paralegal and jack-of-all trades at several San Francisco firms. After taking the plunge and being admitted to the Bar, Dan worked for several national and international law firms, where his practice involved a wide range of complex commercial litigation matters, with an emphasis on insurance.
Dan took a hiatus from private practice to join Marsh & McLennan as a Vice President of Claims Advocacy, but missed the hustle and bustle of the legal setting. Today, Dan focuses on insurance-related issues, including coverage analysis and bad faith litigation.
In his spare time, Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and sons, skiing, and perfecting his recipes for chili and chicken tikka masala.
